Thanks to @incabloc for parting with his immaculate TV dial Speedmaster. I've been looking for a good example for years and now I have one thanks to this fine forum. It's more than everything I hoped for. It feels like it was designed just for me and is very much at home on my wrist. It's hard to believe it's 40+ years old. It's been a nail-biting 3 weeks (!) waiting for this to arrive here in Massachusetts from Switzerland thanks to strikes in Belgium, holidays here in the US, customs, and who knows what else. Special thanks to @sky21 for his aid with the contact information and proper forms for the shipping company, who never once contacted me on their own, which I found odd. But whatever, it's here now. Off to my watchmaker tomorrow. View attachment 261658 View attachment 261660
Glad the watch finally made it to you. Around 3 weeks, pretty much the same for me too. Those JFK customs folks are not very proactive to say the least. All worth it in the end as the watch looks great!!
That's just wonderful! This model is in my wish list - I hope I'm as lucky as you in finding one in such nice shape... Congratulations!
