I'm not going to let the cat totally out of the bag, but will let him look at his big brother:

Good one Joe. That didn't take long.

Next time I'll have to put less detail in the pic.:D

It's a NOS, never worn, covered in purple snot etc. version with an 18K bezel.

I think it's referred to as a "Mariner III" but I need to investigate more.

And finally, before the pics, a big thanks to @Tom Dick for a guiding hand.

The reason these still look ok is that they were never fashionable or stylish even when new, they're a bit like the X-33 in that sense, a high tech tool then and the same now.

    My pleasure Jim

Accepting these aren't everyones cup of tea but if you are looking for one there isn't a better example out there than the one Jim nabbed! Although (like the Marine Chronometers) they aren't/ weren't to everyones taste, I work at a large College/ Uni with some very 'on trend' young things and I get more positive comments about my Marine Chronometers and Stardusts than I do about any of my other watches! I was wearing a NASA photo at work and my boss looked over and said 'that not you normal type of watch, what possessed you to buy that'??? I avoided a lecture and moved on

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
