I have to cancel my order for 50th Anniversary Moonwatch with that mooning astronaut. Not for me. I’ve experienced many chrono-watches: Rolex Daytona, different variations of a Moonwatch... now I got this racing Speedmaster. I have to say: The best chrono that I’ve ever had. My favourite Speedmaster so far! Well... that modern, close to original Moonwatch with hesalite is very close.. But for example Daytona: the dials are just too small for my older eyes. This racing Speedmaster; the size, quality, legibility, colours.... Simply perfect! Just incredible movement..... Wooooow!!!!
Excuse my ignorance but what series are those? They are both spectacular, have not seen the 2-subdial variant before...
I love, love, love the look of the Speedmaster Racing watches, but sadly they are too big for my wrist. Jealous tho.
Congratulations and great to read your mini review vs other chronos. I agree that omega know how to make usable and legible chronographs. It’s no secret that Rolex as of 2007 have started to produce watches that are over engineered and clinical at the expense of the function they were originally intended for. I agree with your comments re Daytona. This one has such a lovely speckled dial too. Enjoy!
