First, refinished dial, though not terribly off , need to see if correct movement and conditions before even considering.

Second, interesting piece, obviously not a Constellation, may be all original and good condition but photos very poor and data on actual model not discernible. No verification on gold content.

    Thanks for the heads up.

On the first, can you impart some knowledge to enhance my learning of Omegas?

On the second, I realize it's not a Constellation, I just found it & thought if I can get it cheap enough. Seller says all info is on Jeweler's Coupon pictured in listing. I just don't have sufficient Omega expertise to evaluate the info. Seller allegedly knows nothing about the watch. From the seller's messages, he bought it (I presume cheap) and just wants to sell it. (again I presume to make a profit). I may try to get this if it's cheap enough. Could be a good lesson to learn without possibly losing too much. I want to forego the big mistake as long as possible;)

From the photos I don't believe it is 10k , but rather gold capped. The serial number would date the watches assembly to about 1955. The model number is real, but not in the Omega data base.. The hand may not be original, as they appear a different color, once again, bad photo. May be a great watch, but there are some questions. Here is a photo of the case, but with a different dial and the eBay watch.

Case should be 10k gold filled, but I think the back might be stainless. My Globemaster 501 has a very similar american case.

Yes I bet it uses the same bezel as a Constellation.

It's a nice watch, looks all correct and the movement is in great shape. If you're looking into other options besides a Constellation it might be a good one to bid on.

I like the fact that the Automatic has all its paperwork and both boxes for $300. Well at least for starters.
No, don't think so. That's a US made case from Jonell. Has nothing to do with any Constellation case, gold capped or otherwise.

Kyle, here's a Globemaster with that exact case:

I kind of like that one,

Sorry, I meant the Globemaster, as in Kyle's , I always think of it as a constellation. Never owned a Globy, I did not even notice the numbers, Kyles case just looked so similar, guess it should

To confuse you even more, there was a first generation, US market only Globemaster that was identical to the Constellation being offered in the mid-'50's to the rest of the world.

Desmond did a full investigation on these watches and the differences between these 1st generation Globemasters and Kyle's 2nd generation version (which is what we are talking about here).

    http://users.tpg.com.au/mondodec//Globemasterpost.pdf

    Both versions are considered collectible,
