I just won an ebay first time in a while wow, just an inpulse bid and never thought I won.

Looks like original dial to me, no movement shot available but as desribed running strong and completely original, well I took a risk with a seller over 1200 stars.

The 168.005 looks rough, unpolished and "unprepared" to my untrained eyes just like how I like it. Hopefully it is a not bad buy at all.

    Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks. It looks rough but very attractive to my eyes. Love those lugs :) i think I need to open the caseback to check the movement and fix the endlinks as well.

I might go for a light case polish here. Take it to a competent watchmaker.

Depending on what you paid, it's worth investing in. Dial is great, onyx inserts still there, case is sharp and that bracelet!

Looks like it has an eight sided crown. Is that a bad news?

PS : Recount and it is a 10 side. Sorry.;)

    I don't see the 'rough'
    Nice case and dial
A service, crystal polish and a sonic bath and that watch will shine
    Lovely Connie - congrats

Agree, and with the bracelet added it's really (unless it has movement issues, naturally) a very decent buy - congrats :)

No need for case refinishing. You'd be amazed of how much a difference a thorugh clean will do!

well it arrived, paid an extra 170usd for tax :(

The dial is in very nice condition, with even tiny black dots invisible to my eyes without loupe, case is sharp with all present edges, bracelet is tight and feels amazing. Only the caseback has a scratch when someone tried to open it. All the dirt piled up makes it an very honest example.

Took sometime for my watchmaker friend to open the caseback, must be along time since the last time, very nervous as the seller didnt post any movement pixs and to my surprise, the 564 movement is in like new condition, full yelllow gasket with serie 24.2 millions fall right through the last of quick set with onyx markers.

Off to the spa for some cleaning now...

    Nice! - congrats
some evidence of scuffing on the case back - so make sure your watchmaker looks at the rotor

Got back from the spa. A polished crystal and through clean make a huge difference.

Love that super clean and un touched movement.
