Hi all,
I appoogise in advance if this has been previously coverred, but I cannot seem to find a discussion on this specific topic.
I've also Google'd extensively, but all the results lead onto websites that makes finding the answer more difficult than I expected.

Is there a place where we can simply pick the import from country and then the destination?
I'm in UK and tried the Gov website but still none the wiser.
Maybe I'm just getting dumber in my old age, or expections are too high 😀

Appreciate any guidance from those that have been on this path.

Vincent

There are online calculators that help you calculate approximate duty.

As a general rule of thumb you’re looking at 25-30% of the sale price when importing to the UK. In the last year or so HMRC have got incredibly keen and fewer and fewer parcels are slipping through without having to pay. For shipping firms such as DHL it’s always due.

That's true, and the import tax depends on the receiver country. So, you need to find information about the import tax in the U.K. Besides that, you can actually find some websites to use an online tax calculator. You will only have to insert some data, like what product do you import, its value, and the country of residence, and that's all. By the way, in case the customs service will be skeptical about your product, you must have a paystub or a paycheck for your product. If you don't have it, you can generate one at https://www.paystubcreator.net/. There you will also have the VAT and many other things.
