SOLD here is the Omega model that has to be their most sold model in the early 50ies. A true workhorse. It must also be the Omega model with the most revisions to the reference. In 1950 came the 2639-1. This is the 2639-16, and it´s made in 1953. So 16 revisions over a period of 3 years. It´s interesting in itself! This watch is 100% original, I have reasons to believe. Even the crystal looks like it´s the original one that this watch came with. The case measures 35 mm the crown excluded. It´s in excellent, unpolished, condition all over. Very nice white dial, as good as perfect. No noticeable aging in it. No damages in it either. Factory original dial, and no repaint. The hands has the original filling in them, which has darkened. The movement is in excellent condition. Fully functional. Appears to run good and keep good time. Not recently serviced though. I´m asking USD 525 shipped. Registered and fully insured mail with the Swedish post. PayPal is fine, but pls add 4% to cover their fees. Or use the Gift option if you want to save those 4%. Me and the watch are located within the EU.
Have the hands been changed, or have the tritium gone REALLY dark? EDIT: Oh, never mind me - I better start reading the posts a bit more thorough
