I'm thinking I might sell my Speedmaster mark III 1040 cal on ebay. Any ideas of what I should ask for it?
I's in excellent condition, all original except rotor which is replacement.

Blue commands a slight premium, figure yours to sell around $1100, pay ebay 10% and net $1000

Also you may want to replace your perished rubber gasket before posting pics on ebay

Start at $1 with no reserve, and let the market decide.

Exactly this, $1, no reserve the better the pics you take the more bids you'll get. Don't freak out and worry it'll go low, its a vintage Speedmaster, even if its not a Pro there are eyeballs everywhere, you'll get market value or better.

Why be the ONE seller who lists a watch on an auction site as an actual auction? Be like everyone else! Put a Wanker's Reserve on it. That's where you advertise "NO RESERVE!," post a starting bid of $3,500, and keep re-listing it every seven days for three years.
    Or
Do what the more helpful, less spiteful members have advised and let the market decide with a $0.99 starting bid.

Or you could avoid ebay parasites completely and post other places, at least then you will get most of the dough in your own pocket not ripoff bay....
