Haha but I do have a serious question. I noticed that Robert Maron has a '90 16570 where the dial is magically turning "cream" colored (I'm sure it's some sort of Italian magic...ciao!)

my question is whether or not any magic explorer
II's have actually sold for more than say $4500 in the last 2 years?

captain obvious understands a seller can ask any price.

People pay a premium for these cream dials, it is also a rail dial Explorer as well. I've seen one in person and they are cool!

The listed price is high (no surprise there!) but a legit cream/rail dial would certainly go for well north of $4500. How much more depending on condition. There are some conditions on serial number range to consider when weighing legitimacy.

My favorite is the $50 shipping. Why not add $50 into the price and offer it "free"? :p

For that price, you should be able to get a more desirable 16550 cream dial.

Early 570s can have cream dials. It's a rail so that gives it a bit of legitimacy. Personally, I'd rather have a 550 black dial myself and pay a fraction of that price. The 550 bezel font is much more bold
