Thank you for letting me join the Omega forum I've been watches since I was a kid. I'm 48 now and have had many different watches over the years bur just recently an Omega Seamaster calendar as a gift. The watch is missing the winding stem crown and band. It is a 2849 with a 503 movement in a gold capped case. The serial number 16720212 says it was made in 1958. I've done research and have not been able to find one with a dial like this and am not sure if the watch is a real Omega or not. If someone could please tell me alittle more about this watch and where I could have it repaired I would be very grateful. Thank you all once again for letting me join. 20240918_060632.jpg 20240918_060555.jpg 20240918_060421.jpg 20240918_060401.jpg 20240918_060252.jpg 20240918_055249.jpg 17266585422421184352847090696894.jpg 20240918_060555.jpg 20240918_055222.jpg

Welcome! The watch looks legit to me based on the case reference, caliber and the serial number. I would search the forum for watchmaker recommendations in your area.

Thank you the watch was a gift to me and I would like to have it repaired so I can enjoy it I'm in Ohio county Kentucky. Can anyone give an idea of the cost of parts or what all should be done. I know the crown and winding stem, and cleaning but anything else I'm not sure about. Does this model have a leather or steel band? Thank you all in advance for your help.

Your questions about service and parts are for your chosen watchmaker to tell you.

Thank you I really don't know anyone locally that works on watches anymore most of the places in owensboro or bowling green only do things like changing batteries ect and will not work on vintage time pieces I don't mind sending it for repair but don't know where to send it there are so many different places on the internet and I want someone that is reputable and will do a good job any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Thank you Dan. I've been reading through the posts and hope to find the right place. My main thing is that it is done correctly and I will be able to wear and enjoy it
