    Into his 2998 are but coloured the lume to look vintage.

    I think he dyed the hour markers, made a great job of it.
    Can anyone help?

    I don't mean to speak for BM, but he actually baked it. It's a modern service dial in the oven on grill for a few minutes.. :)

    yes! baked on paint, set it on the wood stove for -- how long?

    I think it goes in the oven on broil for about 10 mins, but watch it closely. I've never tried it myself..

    Tea or coffee can do the same thing during a relume. Personally, I like BM's solution.

    the USA made cars in the 1930's with "baked on enamel pain". a long forgotten process, THAT worked very well ! there is an available process IF you can get enamel. [ in the 30's, you could buy a ford with a stainless body] - vinn
