I am curious, do you know what aspect of your post triggered the violation?

Dan's photo composition skills must have convinced Instagram's AI that he was trying to sell these watches without a business account.

Zuck is pivoting IG into a vintage watch dealer. He doesn鈥檛 want Dan to compete.

solution: Dan buys TikTok.

What exactly is the purpose of Instagram? I don鈥檛 understand the watch thing there.

For me, Instagram makes it easier to stay up-to-date with watches from my favorite brands and collectors, similar to the "WRUW Today" thread here in OF. Less bs compared to other platforms as it is more photos and limited reading, but from a privacy perspective, it comes at the cost of being targeted with watch-related ads and products.

AI detected probably a.
Dan would be the last person to have that in a photo. He may actually ask that you delete that remark.

I don鈥檛 do much social media but I can鈥檛 believe some of the things you get banned for. I know it鈥檚 private companies so they don鈥檛 have to follow the 1st amendment so to speak but I never incite violence, swear or insult others just a difference of opinion gets you shut down on certain sites. Not that it was a major life loss

No, they didn鈥檛 give any information other than that it had to do with commerce. And when I clicked on the request to appeal, it was reinstated pretty quickly. It鈥檚 pretty hard for me to see anything different in that post compared to my typical post except that multiple brands were included.

I have bought and sold a few watches through IG. And it can be a convenient way to communicate.

It was a joke aimed at the stupidity of AI, the watches are laid out and the computer f蠀cked up. Laugh.

Interesting observation, regarding the depiction of multiple brands. I wonder if the caption, or even the type of comments, also had an impact. It could be neat to do an experiment that modifies/controls specific variables in order to determine what the trigger(s) might be.
