Check email for an update from them about out the policies switching to Watches of Switzerland Group. This is consistent with the closing of the Hodinkee online businesses and the sale of Crown and Caliber also to Watches of Switzerland Group.

Ultimately, the insurance is underwritten by Chubb. They hold the policy with the Agent - Hodinkee/Watches of Switzerland Group - getting a small piece of the action.

As of this writing, the insurance remains the same. No changes have been made.

Anybody know of anyone who's ever had a claim under their plan? Insurance coverage is an easy thing to advertise, but how they perform under a claim tells the tale.

They'd be like any other insurance company I assume, depends on how many hoops they have.

The insurance company is Chubb who would pay any claims. They are well regarded for insurance companies which is a low bar.

I've heard a few stories, but all have paid out. I'm sure like most other forms of insurance if you make a claim your rates will go up, or you may be dropped, so one has to consider the weight of the claim.
