I am designing a course unit for an IB English Language course and would like to use this thread for analysis of non visual communication and as the basis of a piece of work about the global economy.
I have sought permission from the mods and Tony C, and as long as no one else minds, they have been kind enough to allow me to use it.
If anyone who has posted on that thread objects then I will not use it. I am not planning to use it for anything else apart from my class and I will omit user names.
I have a few months before I am going to teach this part of the course so will bump it every so often to give members a chance to reply if they don t want it to be used in that way.

A link to the thread could help, as I suspect some folks will have forgotten posting on it... If user names are removed, it's hard to see any reason why anyone might object.

Slight thread drift, but some friends and I were discussing recently whether Brexit will in the long term reduce the role of English as the common business language across the EU. Any views about this?

Agree, and much business these days is conducted with Asia who will continue to learn English before another European language so a swing within Europe to say French or German is probably self-defeating.

 

Britain is not the reason that English is the common business language across the EU, so no, Brexit won't affect it.
