Nice but the hands are wrong IMHO Look at www.omegaholygrail.com ..great information on this watch on this site
The guy has also just done another site on the Ploprof called www.omegaploprof.com ..looks very interesting
Definitely wrong hands. Given revelations about dials here, I'd also want to see close ups of the dial.
Here, let me search that for you.. https://www.chrono24.com/search/ind...earchexplain=1&accessoryTypes=&goal_suggest=1
Well, at least one of those has been there for over a year. I paid much less for mine and it's much nicer than both of these .
There's tons of overprice stuff on chrono24, It's a case of sit and hope (and pray) for the sellers! There's a vintage guitar dealer in the US who has lots of desirable guitars for sale, all at about 30% over market value. They sit there for years, I think some people are collectors who occasionally sell something from their collection.
did i hear on the news yesterday that Randy Rhoads' guitars are going up for auction to help Gibson with Chapter 11?
So is that plus buyers premium of the 20% or more because it’s touching £28,000 Is this all because that guy wrote the site so people got information Bit like the Moonwatch book speedmaster thing
I don't think Stuarts site can take responsibility for the prices going up to silly levels... they've been doing that for a long time.
Yeah, it's a general thing as well, the decent/desirable vintage watches have all boomed in the past few years. Boomed as in boomed me out of the market. Tough getting the nice UG/Zenith models now and forget about the more popular ones.
It's getting tougher for sure... and some stuff has just gone nuts. I'm always a little cautious of auction house results, particularly in Hong Kong and Geneva - where things often go way over market. Not saying money laundering, but... money laundering.
Yeah -I was looking at UG Big Eyes a few weeks ago and there seemed to be about 10k difference between 'retail' (private or shop) and auctions at the big name houses - some shenanigans or too much testosterone. Of course then the retail market ups the price as they see bigger potential and off we go again. I've come out of things in the black, but I'd prefer to have been even-Stevens and still be able to afford watches I really like. Woe is me etc
UGs skyrocketed in past 3 years the market going crazy for nice Nina / Evil Nina, few years back no one really knew it..
