Hello, friends. My father gave me his old Longines quartz watch and I was wondering if you could help me identify the model. Do any of you own this gem?

Most here are more into mechanical watches so Quartz isn’t that popular.

Model # is inside the case back so when you change the battery next get a few photos.

Many of these were made in the 1970s

take a few photos on the other side and will tell I’d it’s gold if there is any hallmarks. A steel caseback will reveal it’s gold capped.

Still a nice watch I must add and definitely wearable due to its c-case design.

Greetings, many watches don’t have a model name. In that era the model name if there were one would be on the dial. @STANDY already told you everything else which can be said.

Do you all recommend a service for this watch given it's age? Where should I look and what can I expect from it?

Look for a Swatch service centre in your country.

Or

A quality watchmaker.

Tell us what country are you in ? So we may be able to point you in the right direction.

It shouldn’t cost as much as a mechanical watch 😉 👍

Thank you—I’m in Chicago, USA.
MJ Watch Service in Glenview. They will change the battery and do a proper service if needed.
