A buyer local to me recently offered to sell a VC that has been in his family since the 1950s when it was purchased. He doesn't know much else about the watch and is unable to open the case back for a reference. When I asked him to measure the case size, he said "1 1/4 inches" which is approximately 32mm, although measuring in inches isn't the most accurate.

I have tried google image searches and have come close with no definite matches on reference. Does anyone here off hand have a general sense of possible reference or movement for this watch? I love the guilloche dial and would possibly make an offer but am not even sure of the price point on this.

Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the single photo :(

You should post your picture on the hour lounge, Alex ghotbi and the folks there should be able to help out fairly quickly. To me the dial looks correct (despite no accent on the e for geneve), but THL is definitely the best place to verify a Vacheron Constantin

Certainly looks original. Likely a cal. 453 variant inside. Value would depend on condition and actual size.

    Cheers,

Does look original strange choice of bands for such a nice piece. Just my 2 cents..
