Reading about George Martin, the Beatles producer and ran across this photo. Can anyone identify the watch?
Yea Geo! Thanks. I think you're right after doing a search for MuDu. Never heard of it. Such "quality" doesn't trickle down to Texas very often. The brand has a murky history apparently. Brought into England in the 1960s on the sly through the docks at Southhampton and sold in pubs and factories through the "wanna buy a watch" method in order to avoid import duty. No distributor network, no jewelry store dealers, no strap included. Some wild claims out there about who actually made them including that the Blancpain factory workers assembled them in their off hours. Some were said to have respectable movements however, including a Felsa 4002 which was claimed to also have been used by Zenith.
