I have been in the market for a watch that ticks for some time now and have stumbled upon this piece and i'am considering buying it. After some research i haven't found anything on it and all i know is this:
    - Automatic
    - Case: Steel
    - Black dial with date at 3 o'clock
    - Ø 37 mm.
    - Safirglass.

I would really appreciate if any one could tell me about it and its value. On one of the lugs there is a number but i haven't found its use.

    You're welcome!

2 out of 3 ain't bad - you posted good pictures, and were polite. If you had installed an avatar photo you would have been in a rare group of new members who do things perfectly correct.

Yep Dynamic Gen 3 variant, probably a Japanese market one at a guess. It will be around 1997-99 with a circa 55-57m serial no. Fairly rare in the Western World but probably not all that desirable either, a little too bland IMO. That said a nicely built piece with an unusual (for Omega) nipple marker dial. If it is priced at under 75% of a arabic dial Gen 3 then it is probably worth considering, if not then I would keep looking. In the UK that would mean £450-500 at most. The design wears really well, I love mine (with the conventional arabic dial). Having the Speedy type bracelet is a nice touch but be aware it is a odd 19mm lug width (not 20mm as per the strap squeezed on at present) so it wont swap onto an SMP or Speedmaster (other than a reduced)

I'll add that what the auction has run to now is, IMO, pretty much at the top of what anyone should pay for one of these. With four days to go, I don't see this as much of a bargain.

Interesting. I took at look at ebay to see what you meant but can't see it so I presume it is elsewhere, what price has it risen to?

    About $1080.

    No mention of a service, comes with B & P + bracelet.

Wow, I agree then. That is over the top for a Gen 3 with a less appealing dial. Maybe it has a rarity value which I am not feeling but I would take the regular arabic dial sword hands version over that in a heart beat.

a fairly bland looking watch, but each to their own. For the price you can get something far more interesting to look at.

Were those invisible hands an option way back then?

They were standard and are actually very similar to SMP skeleton hands but skinnier and with less lume. I am not a big fan and much prefer the sword hands used on the Arabic dial model. They were used used on some Seamaster 120m models and also the Omegamatics. They kind of work on the multifunction though IMO. Here's a pic
