Hi Omega watch experts, I recently bought an Omega watch and was told by the watch seller that it is a 1940's watch with a bumper mechanism? I would appreciate advice on identifying the exact year, value and history of this watch? The seller said he knew the date roughly from the serial number but I can't see a serial number and if it is inside can't see how to get the back off? Thank you
Take it to a watchmaker and have him take the back off. Everything we need to know is inside. While you're waiting, read this: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-omega-posting-guide.383/
Also, please post an in-focus photo of the dial with the hands moved so that the text can be seen clearly. I have some concerns about that font for a watch supposedly from the 1940s.
