Hello - I was hoping to find some ID on an Omega watch that belonged to my father. It has been in a box for about 15 years, since he passed away. From what I can tell, the date code on the serial number puts it around 1967. Here's what I have:

Inside: serial: 25059676 (on movement), 601, Seventeen Jewels
    The back of the case/door says: 2973762, 14K G.F. B&A, P6313

Most of the dials I can find from that era have the various model names on the face of the watch, but this only says "Omega" and "Swiss Made" below 6 o'clock.

I am hoping identify the model, mainly. Approx value would be good, but as it was my father's I'm pretty inclined to just hang on to it.

    Thanks for any help. :)

    Hello and welcome.

As with many dress style watches from Omega, your US cased watch does not belong to any particular line, Seamaster etc.

It appears to be in very nice condition and should be worth $250-350 or there about.

If you plan on wearing it get it serviced by an independent watchmaker familiar with vintage watches.

    Cute dog!

Brilliant - thanks for the info! There was also a 1915 Elgin ladies pocket watch in the box with this one - safe to say, I've learned more about watches today than in my entire life previously. Fascinating stuff. :)
