Im on a new watch hunt today. Had a lot of free time today.... Probably and bad thing lol. Do you know any details about this one?
A whole lot of watch companies in the 60's and 70's used these Valjoux 773x and 774x calibers because they were relatively cheap and ubiquitous. They're not gonna win any prizes for decoration or accuracy, but they are dependable and easy to find parts for. Some of them are pretty damn good looking too. Despite not being a huge chronograph fan, I've owned several over the years including a Breitling Long Plaing from the early 70's. There are plenty of options available and it isn't too hard to find near mint examples.
