··Nowhere near as grumpy as he used to be...Who's doing this work for you this inexpensively?
I need details on a reputable US-based watchmaker who can service a vintage piece for $150-200.

Vintage non chrono? That’s not an insane price.
It's good that you produced the photos, but you need to be more specific about what you are seeking. Most vintage watches from that era did not have model names, and anyone can find a serial number reference and date the movement.
FYI, the dial has been refinished.
Apologies- I wasn't specific because I don't really have specific questions due to general watch ignorance. I'm not trying to sell so I don't care about price. I guess I was hoping there was a way to say 'this is a X model from X year' but after reading, I've discovered that specific models are not easily attained, especially with after-market work being done. Thank you!

I think it's more accurate to say that this watch does not have a particular model name, and never did.
If you want the exact date you can order an extract of the archives from Omega. They are around 200$ now. The model is a 2300/3.
I do have a few additional questions based on the replies.
What would the original band on this have looked like (i'm sorry if that's too general based on what's known. if that's not possible to determine, what would something of that era been)? My family back then were not wealthy so I'm assuming it would have been on the basic end, if there were options.
Is this a WW2 issued watch (if there is a way to tell or not)?
