1448/431 is the bracelet reference, so that bracelet was used on a lot of different models. Some are mechanical, and some are quartz. I can't tell which this is, but really the information you need is on the inside of the case back.

If there is an 8 digit serial number on the case back or lugs (can't see with the blurry photo) please let me know what it is.

    Cheers, Al

    Shit. He just beat me.

Excuse my French. Just got back on-line from a full French dinner, wine and entertainmnt, so I'm well primed.

Now in a king bed with my Darlin, sipping Lagavulin and snacking on decadennt French pastries.

So basically you have a quartz Omega from the mid-80's. Quartz watches are not as widely collected as mechanical watches are, and these modern style Constellations are not highly sought after by collectors as well.

If you like it and want to wear it, make sure the dead battery has been taken out - hopefully if it was still in there it didn't leak. If it did, that may require some serious intervention, up to replacing the movement.

I think the value you found in that other link is optimistic personally...

    Cheers, Al
