I was writing problematic reverser wheels off and delaying fixing those auto bridges until I find a big cache of NOS reverser wheels - recently decided to try and open one after re-watching this awesome video:


I was very lucky, I suspect that reverser wheel was loose, I was able to easily open it with a L tweezer and keeping the wheel in place with a plastic tweezer, however on my second try, I quickly discovered how hard they are to open, I wasn't able to open it and instead found a way to replicate the tool

I dremeled the inside with ball tips, then just used a sandpaper to narrow and thin the tip

Good result.
Professional watchmakers have a multitude of tools in their inventory that would be far too expensive for the amateur to equal.
I've often re-purposed something to "do the job".
Using the third wheel from an old pocket watch as a Rolex stem tube remover for example.
