Watch comes from my collection, it's serviced. I got it from a Japan estate sale, assumably after the original owner passed, and it was my impression that it was only worn a couple of times on special occasions

I'm selling as I'm selling all my gold capped and historic watches to focus on other areas

Bump, but price is firm 😀

Other than their Quarter Century Club - no other examples of IBM awarding a watch in a similar manner I can find and I really want this watch to go to someone who will appreciate the watch for this uniqueness and history of it

Bump, the watch originally didn't come with a bracelet but I also have separate 1040 bracelets to pair

Hallo Kaplan,
really a historic piece for someones own professional history.
I have been an IBM Systems Engineer in these years and still own a handfull of buttons and sheets for SE Excellence and 100%-Clubs as well.
At that time two collegues of the IBM laboratory Zürich got the Nobel Price in Physics for works on the Tunnel Microscope. Sorry, I was not one of them though being a Physicist.
I wish you to get your money for this watch from someone to add in his or his fathers career history.
Good luck, Konrad
