I wonder if this 168.029 lover fellow is among us

Just got this watch, probably a single owner watch, the seller replaced the glass 40 years ago, and the watch stopped working 25 years ago. By the looks of it, the "new" glass might not be in so good shape either (Thanks to Tako for the translation / clarification)

Honestly, for a watch that doesn't work, I was expecting and hoping to pay ~$680 at most - but someone apparently loves these as much as I do, while my max bid was $910 - his max bid prior to me was $890 - pretty crazy - since working ones can be found for less

But honestly, instead of an abused watch, I'm glad I bought a hopefully untouched watch that just needs a basic service - the seller says it stopped working as it waited in the drawer for too long

With this hobby, my ultimate goal is to collect and preserve C-Case's (Although I get distracted, A LOT)

I also wonder if replacement glasses are still available for these? (They are out of stock online except one place, but they pop up on eBay frequently)

Great choice - C-cases are wonderful watches and I love my 168.017. Mine needed a full service and a replacement crystal. My WM was able to source one through Omega (this was Jan/Feb 2020) but it took a LONG time to arrive. Good luck with the hunt!
