It was October 2008 and my wife and I were on our honeymoon, a European coach tour. The guide took us to Bucherer in Lucerne, Switzerland where we perused some Rolexes with lots of "oohs" and "aahs".
Being young and having not much money left after paying off our wedding and buying a house, we didn't get anything. In any case, my Seamaster Pro was only three years old and I couldn't justify any more purchases. So we just left there with the free souvenir gift spoon.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought a Sub and a GMT2. I would have kept the GMT as a wearer and sold the Sub for a tidy profit now (keeping it in mint condition).
Ah yes, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Thanks for listening to my story
