I’d like to pick it up to get a proper measurement of the David lettermanesque gap between my front teeth.
I get it. It really is a marvelous technical achievement. But 2M watch with a velcro strap? I'm sorry, WTF?
Dollars to donuts that if they are actually worn, they would fail due to flexing. This strongly comes under the "Ok, you can do it - but should you?" category. Also this looks like an absolute piece of Cracker Jack toy BS compared to the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Ultra, which is $400K, and has an actual bracelet. As I've said for a long time, RM watches are a way to separate wealthy people with no taste from their money.
Also this RM requires a separate tool to wind the watch. I’m guessing that tool is under 2mm also. Still, wouldn't the tool make this a two-piece. Beautiful movement. Too bad it’s mostly covered. Here's another $400k contender with that Octo. My money on Piaget Concept (avail for purchase, not a limited edition) at 2mm, fully functional. No tool needed.
while being thinner by only a walloping 0.05mm (1.75mm vs 1.8mm in the Bvlgari) meanwhile, for only ~14K you can have the world’s thinnest chrono and thinnest GMT
Heh! I have the David-Lettermanesque gap too. Never looked at the gap that way. I had thought of the flossing possibilities of the design though.
now you're just bragging. I tried one on, light as a feather. Couldn't pull it off. I'm hoping future update will be more ahem, "asian friendly".
That Piaget is gorgeous! And while their designs aren't for everyone, the Bvlgari are absolutely amazing technologically. I think that one looks great @cvalue13 !
