I was looking through the box, looking for a way to fund Mrs Fruit's bloody Aga. (She is most upset they will not make a special colour for her...apparently she is going to press further up the chain....)

So I was going to sell this but I just cannot bring myself to let go of it. Still I did all the photos and it seems a shame to waste them. So here for your viewing pleaseure is a 2998-1 BASE1000 Lollipop

    NFS

    1-P8020001-002.jpg

Ahh - the ghost BASE1000 Bezel!

    2-P8020003-002.jpg

Case looks used but not overpolished.

    3-P8020004-002.jpg
    Pushers are service replacement, correct.

Hands are curved end lume slots.

    Lets go around the case:

Serial is in range of my observations for a 2998-1 but the Museum would not extract it, perhaps because my middle name is not "Christies" :)

Anyway wanted to put a little more watch content back into the forum, I keep getting dragged off by slightly political threads and its not why I come here.

    Enjoy the watch!

Another great one from the doubles box! Well indeed it's a lot more interesting than an Aga thread William, GLWNS!

@Spacefruit - A decade ago, my studios used to execute all the photography for AGA..... we built some incredibly complex sets to house them

They are ridiculously over priced for what they are……can be difficult to regulate, and can be overpoweringly hot in the Summer

Other 'cast iron' cookers are available……

Happy to sneak this out of the house, whilst the good lady is away for the week.
If NFS ever moves to WTT. She's back at the weekend though......
My plan is to explain its just away for a lenghty service or something along those lines ::confused2::

    Stunning!

It's all too easy to forget that this is a watch collecting forum at the minute.

......but worth it for the AGA toast, rice pudding and roast potatoes alone.
Ours is switched off at the moment, the whole house is 3 degrees cooler.
......so much for the Watch thread.

I had to google that to figure out what an "Aga" was, it turns out its some cooker thing thats very heavy and expensive. I find a microwave and a toaster is a winning combination but I'm still in my 20s. That thing looks like a really old oven.

What, pray tell, is an AGA? For you to seriously consider selling this, it had better be an Anti Gravity Actuator.

Its like a thing that cooks your 2-minute noodles better than the Microwave does, for $30,000 more than a microwave. At a guess I'm thinking its another one of those kitchen items that women like to have, so that they possess the theoretical capacity to cool amazing meals if they were so inclined, sort of like how a Ploprof lets blokes dive to 1200M if they were so inclined. But since they're not they just wear it at their computer desk, and similarly the Mrs will probably be too concerned to get it dirty with grease that the food will keep getting nuked.
