I played with my competition chronometer lately to take some good photos of the interior.

I took my heart and partly disassembled the movement to get more insight...

I remember a thread where we discussed bimetallic compensation balances Earnshaw versus Guillaume.

Her is an example of the latter in macro view - hope you enjoy the blued hairspring as much as I do.

I do hope you then managed to fully reassemble it?

It's certainly not something I'd attempt, my watchmaking skills start with Polywatch and end with the Bergeon 6767, with in between I suppose a reasonable level of competency in the winding and setting departments :D

I have already presented this watch some time ago - will have to dig out the old thread to provide a link

Thank you. I was aware of the thread, but somehow I did not brought it to mind.
This is a unique and extraordinary timepiece, which might also be overlooked because it goes well beyond the common knowledge of collectors and dealers.
Unfortunately, during my over thirty years in watchmaking I have met at most a couple of regleurs capable to bring it back to its deserved status.
However, it might be worth to make an enquiry at the ECAL in Lausanne.
