·Hi all,
I think I'm developing the eye. Thanks for being such a great resource as I dive into this crazy world.
Evidence #1: Looking at the watches I almost bought 6 months ago, I'm appalled.
Evidence #2: I've narrowed my focus. Instead of getting excited about completely different watch brands and styles, I've started to dive in deep and really learn about pre-seamaster Omegas so that I can spot the details.
As an example, here's a watch that checked a lot of boxes, but a couple tiny things set off my redial alarm. The word Chronometre is the wrong font - it should be more of a serif but this one is completely sans-serif. Also, other examples of this exact watch say SWISS MADE at the bottom, and the sub-dial doesn't appear to be completely circular. The dial shows some wear, which I've come to realize is a good sign, but all-in-all is in dangerously good condition.
Thoughts?
