The reduced is an automatic with a piggyback chronograph module which marks it down a bit in the desirability stakes.

Soyuz? Are you sure? That is a '69 watch and the Soyuz mission was in '75. Different dial too, I think.

The all gold version I believe they made like 1001? or something. The Soyuz in 1975 I think it was like 500 if I am not mistaken

Speaking of Solid Gold Speedmasters: I got really close (I know it only counts in horse-shoes and hand-grenades) to an Apollo XI 25th. Anniversary Edition of 500, #5 form the son of the original owner. My internet skills are so poor that I can no longer find the Chuck Maddox review of this exact watch as submitted by the owner. If one of you more gifted members could find his review, complete with scans, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Good Hunting! Worst of all, the owner had solid references and the price was very reasonable. Best of all, I got my Homage. Miki

Yep. The gold 1969 145.022 was a run of 1014, of which 39 had personal engravings like the watch offered to Nixon. The 1975 145.0022 Apollo Soyuz was a run of 500. Interesting snippet about the 1975 one: its the only Speedy where the dial doesn't say its a Speedmaster.

"Soyuz" could refer to a few different watches. Which one are you thinking of - I assume its a gold one?

Ah you're talking about this one?

    http://www.fratellowatches.com/spee...professional-chronometer-apollo-xi-1969-1994/

Makes it even more interesting in that its a Cal 864 Chronometer rated Speedmaster Pro. One sold recently at Christies for memory for an impressive sum on full bracelet.

Hey! That's my birth year Speedie!

That being said, I am early enough in my legal career to be far underfunded for such an acquisition...
