I don't trust the one's on ebay, I think they may be fake. I need an 18mm strap preferably in black. Is anyone selling or know of anybody selling?

I think he's hinting at the fact that you posted pics of a Seamaster and not a Speedmaster.

How can they be fake? It says 'genuine' right on the strap!

You are better off just buying a nice aftermarket strap instead of going with a vintage Omega strap. I think that Michele watches has some nice offering that will match the color of the dial...

when you say authentic, I assume you mean an Omega OEM brand strap. There are plenty non-Omega OEM straps of equal quality out there that will cost you less money. Otto Frei sells authentic Omega straps http://www.ofrei.com/page836.html but if you are looking for a vintage Omega strap, that's another story..

    Hello kjrpat and welcome!
I wouldn't worry much about new/vintage, used/original or brand names, straps are often considered a commodity on all except on curmudgeon collectors watches.

Yours has had a little work done and is a nice daily driver and I can tell you love it!
Buy yourself a couple of nice straps, perhaps a coordinating and maybe a contrasting and have some fun!

How about you put the matching bracelet on? Looks like a 165.010 and Otto Frei (among others) can sell you the endpieces and the bracelet.

that's what I'm going to do. rather spend the money for the real thing than cheap out on ebay and get fakes.
