I have had an Omega 1000m, 166.093, for a long time. I'm sorry to say that I dont really use it so I´m thinking of letting it go. Since they are so rare, I´ts hard to have a good idea what a fair price would be for it? I can't find any for sale. The watch has been to Bienne so every part is a "service part". And please, if admin thinks that my post is a bad try to get my watch sold, just delete my thread. I have no intention to break any rules of this magnificent forum. My guess is 7-8k Euro? Regards
A number of years back several cases, dials and hand sets for this ref sold on eBAY. So perhaps some of the "fresher looking" examples might be put together from these parts. Essentially like a Watchco SM300. While this may not a big deal for some, I think many buyers would like to know the history of the watch when they are going to spend big money. In your case, I would think having an extract of archives would add value.
Asking the extract for the SM1000 can be difficult , they got issues during the period of 1972 -1974 , mine is in the middle of the hole, was lucky the watch was service in 1982 and they got the trace been enable to make an extract .
Hard to know sold values, as these tend to sell out of the public eye. £10k ask is not uncommon... but that doesn't mean they sell for that, or at all... The last 2 through ebay that actually sold, were at £6500-£7000.
