I love NOS vintage watches...

As per my family's holiday tradition, I usually choose out a present that I'd like within a certain budget. For this Christmas, I had my eyes set on this little NOS blast from the past. I absolutely love the simplistic elegance of it (and the like-new condition for being a vintage piece is really cool as well). I figured it'd be a great watch, both gaining the sentimental value of being a gift from my folks as well as being a little piece of watchmaking history. Measures around 38 mm lug-to-lug, so it fits within the perfect sizing for my wrist as a dress watch. I'm guesstimating it's from the 60's.

I'll take some cool pics on the wrist come Christmas! Very exciting.

What do you guys think of it?

I think there’s something special about wearing nos, especially that far back.

I don’t know much about Benrus, but overall I like the design, long hands and proportional.

Nice! Some mid century goodness right there. Benrus is a solid brand, so no worries there. The oils have all dried up in 60 years and may have turned gummy. It is probably worth having a watchmaker look at it.
