image.jpeg image.jpeg the pictures are attached. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I think it is 18K, but would like to know year. It is beautiful, and appears to have been worn only slightly image.jpeg

Welcome, lovely watch, looks to be from 1970 or so per Chuck Maddox blog

Even it looks clean inside if you are not certain of the service history suggest you have it checked by an Omega trained watchmaker

I have the same movement in my gold (-capped) Constellation which I'm wearing right now, and it's a fantastic piece of kit. Your example looks great, though I am unsure of how the original finish on the front of the case should look on these. Yours looks to have been polished, which isn't unusual. Do you have a pic of the back? How worn the observatory is, is usually a good indicator on wear.

The back with the observatory and 8 stars look great. I just locked the watch I'm my safe but I'll include a picture tomorrow.

Definitely 18k. You can see the 0.750 (75%) stamp in the caseback.

Leading with a movement photo rather than the dial?
    Suck up! :)
    Beautiful piece congratulations!

Pictures didn't go in the order selected. Didn't know that would cause an issue. Here's a picture of the back. Color not particularly good, though. image.jpeg

I think @arkstfan was suggesting that you were playing it very cool -leading with a movement shot -instead of a dial shot like most of us would do.....

    nice medallion
very interesting that the observatory 'floats'
hadn't noticed it before - seems like this was only on gold C-shapes

Was there an evolution of the observatory design or just a different design for particular C-shapes.

    My version is a 18k 168.018

Interesting that the star pattern is different. Still 8 star bit in a different configuration.

    different Observatories for different watches
    mainly 'with bricks' or without
with bricks for gold to start with -then later on SS
-but also the plinth the observatory sits on changes too

    here's Desmond's essay on medallions
