If the movement is different from the one in the pictures, it really doesn't matter the price. It is good you let it go.

thanks. I did send a message to the seller asking for verification of the error. he has very good feedback on eBay so I would be led to think it was an error on his part.

speaking of which, I wish ebay would go back to the old way of the feedback rating for a lifetime and not just 12 months!

Maybe there is just another crown but I won;t take the risk.
I am pretty sure the pictures are mixed up and there is another movement as you already mentioned.

sorry, I have been on eBay for a very long time. Years ago eBay feedback showed for a lifetime with all negative feedback from day one. Today it shows feedback positive neutral and negative for only 12 months

but a buyer can go back in the history and look for negative feedback through many pages for a big time seller.

So, in 12 month you can reset any negative feedback. This is not good.

it is a rolling 12 months. Not a calendar date to date 12 months but yes

meaning if you got one negative feedback on June 14th in exactly one year that would drop off and your feedback would become 100% positive again

Maybe this is made to give the chance to correct the feedback.

By the way, do you think the dial has been repainted? It looks fine to me.

eBay feedback I would always take with a pinch of salt. Purchased a piece a couple of weeks ago from a seller with 100% feedback, arrived with a cheap Taiwanese movement, returned for an immediate refund. Several days later it reappeared for sale, eBay notified but no action taken and yes it sold with the buyer leaving a glowing feedback ::screwloose::

hmm, this is not good at all.We have to keep our eyes really shot wide up.

Speaking of ebay, I intended to sell a scanner and after I realized all the risks I quit it:
    - very difficult to deliver and very risky
    - the buyer can use the scanner for 3 months and after that can claim the money back saying the scanner is not working
    - also the price, with all the fees: delivery, paypal, ebay, fx rates, etc.

That's if people leave feedback at all. Out of four recent transactions I'm still waiting for feedback from two of them several weeks later (1 buyer, 1 seller). eBay is useful but it isn't so great either.

    True.
As a seller, I leave feedback as soon as I receive payment.
As a buyer, I expect feedback as soon as I have paid (my part has be done). But some sellers ASK for feedback before they will give it.
I do not agree with that way of logic.

Ebay fees and paypal fees have gone out of order! I can sell many things local for free, but some of those off the wall things have to have a larger viewing.

Looking back, I think the dial is good and a good watch..IMHO. But I caught something way too late to make me buy it.
Too bad for me, as I liked the dial and hands!
