Now, as a newbie, I have a problem. I've inherited, what appears to be a gold Omega from I think the 1950's, from my father. I think it was bought in Cyprus or Egypt in either 1954 or 5. I'm assuming that it is genuine. The only wording on the dial is Omega. I have a lot of wording and numbers both on the inside of the stainless steel back plate and on the movement. My question is; where is the best place to go or see or ask questions about the watch. I have no intention of selling it, but it might give me an idea for insurance. Many thanks

I'd recommend starting with posting lots of clear pictures here. Post pictures of the front, sides, movement, steel back etc. There are plenty of folks here that will be willing to share with you their knowledge with you

Thanks, looks as if I need to do a lot of pics first. I have all the wording and numbers from inside and out already. Will do tomorrow,
