I have an old Speedster with a 177 start # how do I find its value?

you won't make it to the pole position from 177, by no means. So I wouldn't value it too high. Or did I get you wrong?

 

A Speedy with 17,7 mill serial, that may be a 2998-6.

This watch has 2998, there is no number after the 2998

We can help much more if you share some pictures of your watch.

Especially the source of your information regarding the reference number, (a picture of the inside of the case back?) but dont go trying to open it unless you have the right tools and some experience otherwise you could knock several thousand dollars off your watch with a single slip.

Give us pictures of the face and we will all have some opinions

 

@Mark5 @X350 XJR - when I type Speedmaster into my computer or phone it autocorrects to Speedster. Made me look like an ass on this forum once or twice.

As Speedsterfruit says, pictures please and you will get help and probably some DM's (direct messages, see the envelop in the top right corner of your screen) with people wanting to do more than just help.
