I am very interested to buy this old omega. Looks like a 30T1 movement to me. It looks that the second hand is a replacement. But is the case original? There is a little spare where the crown is. I have searched Google but can,t find a similar case like this one. Also most of the movements are steel collar and this one is copper. Could you help me out or anyone else? Thanks for your replay,s already. Simon
The watch looks like it could be originally sold in Portugal looking at the import stamp on the lug. Thanks Mick
Hi Simon. The case and the movement look fine but the dial is not, it is a bit smaller than it should. The hands are pink which don't match the case material and the dial but I would blame on the wrong dial. 30T1 movements are rare but 30T1SC are rarer, only 2800 pieces were produced. (all my 30T1SC's have movement serial # in 92 mil. and are in silver finish. I like that case, too. Looks like a 37.5mm case ? I think I have one like that in my collection, will dig it up and take some pics.
Thanks Hoi. The smaller dial you refer to. If you look closely too the darker outher part of the dial (second picture) you see the minute indexes correct? So I don,t think the dial is to small or am I wrong. What is a fair price to buy. .
This is no T1 iteration but a 30 T2 according to the movement serial# Movement is very tarnished and dial is in bad condition - I would pass...
should clean up o.k. incl. the dial. and, yes, it is portugal destination.the copper colour movements start around 1946. give and take..... the only problem, i see, is with the slightly bent lugs..... hope, it is only a distorted picture. kind regards. achim
the small second was blued. that is correct. if the numerals are a dirty pink gold, then the existing hands can be correct as well. will be correct for the timeframe anyway.....
