I'd been looking for over ten years. Either the money wasn't there, or the watch wasn't there. This time, the ends and the means coincided! Art
Needs more mesh imo Love the 70s brutality of them especially on Omega vintage mesh, just such a beautifully rude tool watch that makes no apologies about it's intentional inelegance and function first design.
its strange I have a 911 with the yellow tachy and sub hands and wanted one for ages - but lately I just seem to have fallen out of favour with it.. does the 910 wear differently than the 911? I still think they look great though and really love the retro look of them - just I'm not as keen with it on MY wrist as I once was.. (maybe i'll give it another go tomorrow...)
If you say so, David. You've got a lot more recent experience when it comes to incoming watches than I do, that's for sure!
Here's a 911 on my wrist: That 911 belongs to a friend, and the photo was taken many years ago. I'll try to meet up with him soon to make a side-by-side comparison. Art
am i right to think and say that the case on the 911 is taller than the 910 (but because the 910 crystal is domed, whereas the 911 is flat, the overall height of both is about the same - but the flatter case of the 910 makes it look 'less tall'?
No, I'm not selling off any part of my collection; it may be a very long time before I add another, though!
Thanks! I sourced a replacement crystal, but decided to leave it in its original state. The movement's been serviced, and that's the extent of the renovation so far. Art
