I guess something was wrong with this Railmaster but what was it?

this 135.004 went for quite « cheap » earlier so I’m guessing something seemed sketchy about it but si cannot seem to guess what (beside a case too polished for my taste 😁
Any insight?

And what is your conclusion ? Maybe a bit weird, that the outside caseback is laser engraved ? What else ?

Well, I have no idea how to see that the caseback was laser engraved…Is it because of the sharpness? I have never seen a truly NoS caseback from that era to compare.
It’s a reference I’m not familiar with, I made extensive research on earlier 2914 recently but don’t know much about these.

The case did seem very new to my eyes, especially with a patinated dial…So is the whole case fake? 😁
