With the exception of the Speedmaster triple-date, I think all of the dials were refinished.

Then there's this guy: http://www.ebay.com/sch/ocwatchco/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

He has an endless supply of perfect looking watches, with the exception that I think they're mostly re-dials.

Except if you know what you are looking at and then you realize nearly everyone of their "perfect looking" watches has been polished to death, has a horrible refinished dial and if that isn't enough to make you run away, they are grossly overpriced. 🤮

Hello,
I have bought the Speedmaster mark 4.5. The watch is in a very good condition, but not that good as in the picture. The seller is a master in taking pictures which avoid the schratches or dents. The bracelet bears the number 1162/1/172, and it is an replacement one.the end links are after market parts, with no stamped numbers. Even with all this minuses, it is a very good Mark 4.5, case unpolished with few marks, original tritium hands and dial, original crown, original mineral glas(with some dents), a very good back case and a nice untouched movement ( a service is required, it is dry inside). I was wondering too, where from he get all this watches?

Yeah, I had offered $2k for it by message which he had accepted but I didn't move forward because his other watches looked very suspicious. He's obviously a great photographer and uses light & shadows to highlight his watches and downplay their imperfections.

gilirete, let me know if you're thinking about selling that Ploprof...

Hello,
Unortunately this ploprof don't belongs to me... fortunately is for sale, you can find it on Chrono24 watches, the asking price is 6900 euros, very high in my opinion. I have also 2 Ploprofs, one is the same like this, but in a bad condition and with a Isofrane rubber band, the other one has replacement dial, hands and a milanese bracelet but a very nice unpolished case. If you are interested in Ploprofs, there is a very good book on this topic, you can find it here. http://ploprof.com/Site/PloProf Book.html
