I get the watch. I get the desire to own this watch. What I don't get is why on Earth would somebody buy something so big that it makes them look like a 5 year old wearing daddy's watch.
It really looks stupid on that wrist.I'm not a small guy and the biggest watch I can wear is my Speedmaster Pro.
40.9 mm according to IWC's website. It's from this thread that was just de-zombified: http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/iwc-forum/52616.htm
Must be on a 6 inch wrist. 40.9 isn't that big. I have a couple of 42's and one 44, which is my absolute limit. That thing looks like it's 50mm.
That has to be a very small wrist considering the claimed size. I know I have a few i wonder about and my wrist isn't that small. But truth be told, how tight do you measure? I measure so the tape touches all the way around. I also am a firm believer in how your wrist is and I don't see much talk about the actually physiology of the wrist. Is your wrist flat or round? Mines round but i see plenty of flat wrists which IMHO allows for a bigger watch on what measures as a smaller wrist because being flat there's a bigger top area in width. Did that make any sense?
Yes you do - and I agree, specifically regarding the shape of the wrist as mine falls in the "more flat" category.
