I Decided To Take The Plunge... Speedmaster Pro

About a year ago I went on holiday and saw a omega speedmaster moon watch. I instantly knew that was the watch I wanted but could not justify spending that kind of money on a watch. I know nothing about watches so I did some research and looking around for a watch that would be similar to it. I bought a Fossil watch that I thought looked closest to the omega. I really like the watch but the strap has no small adjustment so its either to big or just a little to tight. So I bought the Omega last week and I just cant believe that I own one. What a beautiful, stylish watch! and it fits perfectly. I live in the uk and am saving for a house (as those of you from the uk are aware is rather expensive) so was worried that spending that kind of money on a watch is a bit mad. My fiancee was the one that pushed me to get it in the end! I am very fussy about what watches I like and I just think this watch is perfect.

Sorry to go on a bit but I have no one else to share it with really!

Welcome.

Nice, I've got a couple of older Omegas. There's just something about them! My watch spending has been put on hold following the arrival of the Allaine today (inWRUW) as I've blown the head gasket on by motorbike!

Those rationalized substitutions, they never satisfy...they just put you whatever they cost farther from getting what you should have gotten in the first place.

Great acquisition, and MARRY THAT FIANCEE AT ONCE. Any potential mate who would encourage you to indulge yourself with a fine watch when you are saving for a house is a treasure beyond rubies!

Like watching the chimps at the zoo - always something happening to make you laugh, and occasionally they surprise you with intelligence you didn't expect from a group of monkeys.

Occasionally we throw some shit around too. Generally only at the deserving " other" monkeys 😀
