Yep, that's me. I have admitted I am powerless over watches and that my addiction had become unmanageable. I know this, I make willful attempts to stay clean & horober, yet I can't go more than 60 days before I fall off the wagon again. ::shy:: Steps 2 through 12 will never happen.

I've been off this week, doing this & that, generally being semi-productive...... until Windy logged on for her on-line class. I know this gives me at least 2 hours of unfettered eBay browsing. For the last couple months I've been pretty good, finishing a project watch, selling another watch, and keeping le banque full of home improvement funds...... until this popped up. :whistling:

The latest temptress to partially derail my remodeling: an early 60's pie pan. (seller's pics)

Oh, did I mention the box comes with it too?

Don't know what's under the hood. If it's correct, it's a 561 (14.9xx or very early 168.005) or a 564 (later 168.005). If it's a franken I'm gonna be a bit steamed, but given the rest of the watch's condition I can't see it being wrong. Guess I'll know next week!

    Oh Dennis,

The pedestal I placed you on was so high, and now my dreams are shattered, you are a mere mortal with all the failures (well some of them) that the rest of us suffer from.
Thank you for a perfect end to a perfect day

Dennis, you need to look out for those people north of Hadrian's Wall - they'll stalk anyone.

Join the club! ::facepalm2:: I saw this an thought it looked very sharp, literally pushed BIN on a very similar steel pie pan the week before and that's still on its journey across the pond. We might even receive these about the same time. Ready for a double pie pan special?

Repeat after me..."My name is Dennis, and I'm a watchaholic". First step is acceptance. The rest will take care of itself. At least you didn't blow the home improvement fund on a solid 18K version.

Highly doubt it's a franken. Your Spidey senses served you well. Steel versions of these are usually beat up, but not this example. Hate the expansion band, but the calendar ones are kinda cool. This one ticks all the boxes for me. I know that you hated selling your old one.

    So...

    Welcome back,

Really! You're potentially damning the guy to a life sentence without parole! :p

Okay, seriously - you just gotta pick the right woman who'll agree to ignore your watch habit if you ignore her shoe & purse habit.
