...but after having an SS Sub Date land in my lap out of blue earlier this month, on Saturday night, a separate dealer had set aside an SS Explorer for me (delivery later this week). I can't really explain it - I've been a good customer of these two places in the last year, but not to a greater degree than probably a lot of other potential customers. Now, if I wake up tomorrow and there's a picture of a Daytona in my inbox...nah, that would never happen. (Actually, that would never happen.)
May I ask how long is the wait for both of them? Have someone put me on the list for the pepsi jubilee, he is a VIP customer but I still think i need to be patient for at least a year
how messed up is it that 15 yrs ago nobody wanted a sub for 3300 and were plentiful.....now people are on arms length wait lists ready to pay 9-10k and are grateful to pay full blown retail. well played rolex, well played
I had my share of that luck as well with my Sub no date. Went into the AD, expressed interest and received a call within a week. Enjoy them in good health!
Actually ss black Submariner and Explorer I are not that hard to get. Very common Rolexes. For example: Two weeks ago both would have been available in Netherlands official Rolex AD. There are many AD’s who are not using waiting lists at all. But: Congrats! Classic watches!
