First post! Edit: I ordered the mkii! I love both and have no Omegas. I love the bracelet on the mark ii and the orange and the price The chronometer I like a lot as well! Easier to read, but I don't like the orange.color as much and would wear on a strap which which feels like a lot of my other watches and not as unique.. But it is so nice to look at! Thoughts?
Would go the mark ll But for me the original moon watch is the best if you enjoy strap swapping a bit. Probably a bit cheaper also. What’s the story of the ultramen in the pictures
Thx! I saw the ultramen because ad says it has the same orange as the chronometer I like, they don't have the orange racing chrono there. The original moon watch feels too small to me, but that is a good point. Do they do a bigger one?
Sports! I have a panomatic lunar and other German dress watches. Plus a damasko da36 SF tourbillon had an ultramen I guess!
Go for the Mark II. It's everything the moonwatch should have been based on NASA feedback, and yet, NASA never took to it. Besides that, it's just a cool watch - case, colors, what else do you need?
Hmm odd it’s not a watch that should be available for sale at a shop. Even Swatch groups premier high end boutiques. I’m partial to the grey with orange new racing model.
He did bring it from. The back room. So maybe someone ordered it? Thanks everyone! I am going to order the mark ii for this time! First Omega!
Another Vote for the Matk II. IMHO, it’s a modern reissue done right, while the 44.5mm is nice, but to me feels like it lacks correct sundial proportions.
I’m glad you went for the Mark II, I would have voted for that as well. It’s a unique case design yet still looking like a Speedmaster we all know. Can’t wait to see more pictures from you!
My vote would have been for the Mk2, but the Olympic one. I'm not keen on the addition of the date on these but that one it seems to blend better. Hope you're thrilled with it, I tried one once and loved it. I later decided I wanted a vintage instead though
Does anyone know how much it costs to buy the capability to make decisions on your own? Apparently, that's what many watch collectors really need. It not only would help them in this hobby, it would serve them well in their daily lives. Do you think the people who start these threads waver the same way over what to eat for lunch, what tie to wear, or which road to drive to work on? When they pull in to the station, do they struggle with purchasing regular or high test as they stand at the pump with nozzle in hand? "Gee, should I just get the 87 octane, or splurge and go for the 94 Ultra? I guess I should start a thread on the Oil Products website in the Gasoline Forum asking for opinions."
my reaction as well!! that changes the whole decision process and argument to the OP original question
I see you've already made up your mind (and frankly, there is no wrong choice here) but if I were in the market for a MK II, I'd buy an original; then, of the four you are looking at, the Olympic one is the watch I find most interesting.
Olympic was really cool, but dressier and more expensive! No discounts on that one. Hey lan$ I think I am in a better place to ask this question than most becasue I am new to Omega. So asking Omega experts is worthwhile. Yay me, now I wait for it to arrive...
