I finally pulled the trigger on my fist Omega - AND first luxury watch! It is the Aqua Terra 38mm with with dial. The latest version with the master coaxial 8800 (this movement is different than the one on the bigger size). Bought it from a London AD for a very good price. I spent a lot of time thinking about the purchase, evaluating alternatives and trying it on at Omega boutiques. I finally reached the point where I was ready to pull the trigger and I don’t regret it. I find it absolutely stunning and SO versatile. I believe the size is perfect and makes it very classy. The accuracy is incredible. I have calculated it is running at about +0.5 sec per day, depending on the position, the more it is worn the better its accuracy. I’m so glad to be part of the club. There are moments when I think about it and can’t justify to myself such an expensive purchase for a wristwatch. But then I look at the watch and just know that it’s worth it. And by the way, I have to tell myself to stop looking at it Here are some pics. Note how the dial changes its texture according to how you look at it!
I am not a watch enthusiast or a collector myself and only joined this forum a few days back as I had a few watch queries answered myself. But that is a stunning watch you have there. Congratulations and wear in good health.
Congratulations. I like that dial. Do you anticipate purchasing other straps for it, or just sticking with the stock bracelet?

I dubbed that as the roller door watch when we first saw it prior to the release and said it looked terrible. Bet it will look great on a nice black leather strap also Nice watch and welcome to luxury watches.
I really do like these watches. I tried on a similar watch, from 2011, last year. It was for sale in the window of a local, watch shop and I was instantly struck by the dial, hands and markers. Very nice choice!
